I knew at 12 years of age that I wanted to be a small animal veterinarian, in a single doctor practice. After graduation in 1988 from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine at Pullman I worked as an Associate in a 4 doctor practice in Eugene until 1998 when I was given the opportunity to practice here at Creswell Veterinary Hospital. I purchased the practice in 2003.
I have a special interest in guinea pig, rabbit and rodent medicine and surgery. I am a cavy (guinea pig) judge and have taught rabbit and rodent medicine and surgery to WSU veterinary students.
In my spare time I train and show my Shelties in AKC Obedience and Rally competition. Ticket, who is 13 years old, placed 7th in the nation at the 2016 AKC Rally National and was #1 Sheltie in Open A Ratings in 2017. He has his Rally Champion Title. Timer is 7 years old has titles in Rally, Obedience and Trick Dog. Xtra is the new kid in the house, born in July 2022. His name comes from really not being ready for another puppy but he was ready to be mine. He's also Xtra big, taller than the usual Sheltie.
My other hobbies include quilting, machine embroidery and gardening.
Most of the wall hangings in the hospital I have made.

Veterinary Assistant
I have always had a love for animals.
I joined 4-H when I was 8 (as a “mini member”) starting with one rabbit. Over the years that expanded into more projects such as raising and showing 2 breeds of rabbits, poultry, sheep, pigs and horses. I won a yearling Arabian colt in a 4-H essay contest when I was 13. I raised 6 Guide Dog puppies during my 4-H years. I finished 4-H at 18 by winning Grand Champion Meat Pen rabbits at our local fair.
I later went to work at an animal hospital in Central Oregon. I loved taking care of the animals there, even adopting a couple, fostering a few and doing a little bit of wildlife rehab (mostly raising and releasing baby squirrels and raccoons).
After 7 years there, I decided to become a pharmacy technician. My love for animals was still there, so I joined the Pet Evacuation Team so I could still help them.
I enjoy spending time with my dog, cat and my adult son.
I love working at Creswell Veterinary Hospital and seeing all of our clients and their pets!
Certified Veterinary Technician
Ten years ago my wife and I moved from Los Angeles to Oregon where I completed a life-long goal of mine, and a promise I made to my wife. That goal and promise was to build a house with our own two hands. It took us almost two years, but we're very proud of the result, and today live in it with our two orange cats, Louie and Jack.
Certified Veterinary Technician since 2010. I see my job as helping the doctor help animals, and helping pet owners care for their pets.
Client Services
I am a huge animal lover, I grew up on a farm, and help raise and take care of all our animals, from horses, cows, lambs, pigs, to dog’s cats and chickens. We even had a pet parrot.
When I got the opportunity to join the team here at Creswell Veterinary Hospital, I couldn’t have been more excited. I had not worked in the veterinary field before and it was a whole new career start for me, and the most rewarding job I have ever had.
I am member of Creswell, I have 2 dogs of my own, A 11-year-old Lhasa poo, and a 10-year-old Pitbull/Rottweiler mix. I have been coming to this veterinary hospital since I got Ben, my 11-year-old Lhasa Poo.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my 2 dogs at home or camping at the coast.

I have been a technician for over 20 years and became a CVT in 2005. I love my job!
I love all animals, especially horses and dogs. My favorite breed of dog are whippets and greyhounds. I also enjoy learning about different exotic creatures.
I like hiking, bicycling and camping. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my baby girl and my husband at our wonderful country home on the river.
We have chickens, goats, cats and 2 dogs- River, a Whippet and Millie, a Standard Poodle
Veterinary Assistant Support
When I found a domestic rabbit abandoned in a park, I took him home and quickly realized that I knew very little about rabbits! This began a mission of learning everything I could about their health and behavior. I volunteered with rescue groups, taking in their medical or behavioral cases.
My search for qualified, expert rabbit care led me to Creswell Veterinary Hospital.
In 2001, I volunteered to help Dr. Sheri vaccinate thousands of rabbits against RHDV2, an emerging and deadly rabbit virus, at clinics around the state.
I am now working at the hospital, and am happy to see all of the patients that come through our doors.
