Creswell Veterinary Hospital is a full service small animal veterinary hospital in downtown Creswell. We have been in our current location at 345 W. Oregon Avenue since July of 1998. Dr. Sheri Schlorman became primary veterinarian in October of 1999 and purchased the practice in January 2003.
Our building was expanded and extensively remodeled in early 2009.
Dr Lauren Furrer joined the practice in August 2020. She was a Veterinary Assistant here in 2014 and was mentored through vet school by Dr Sheri. She spent a couple of years after school at a mixed animal practice to get another perspective on veterinary medicine and then came back to join us at CVH.
Appointments and Emergencies
We attempt to schedule our appointments in such a manner as to eliminate waiting periods. However, emergencies do occur and may delay our schedule. If you have an emergency, please phone ahead to ensure our staff can be prepared to accommodate and evaluate your pet as soon as possible. We do refer to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Springfield for emergencies after-hours and cases we cannot accommodate. They are open 24 hours and located at 103 West Q Street in Springfield. Their phone number is 541-746-0112. If your pet is seen at the emergency hospital, please call our office as soon as possible and leave a message, especially if your pet is hospitalized. The emergency hospital may be extremely busy and unable to notify us in a timely manner that they are treating your pet. We care about your pet and would like to relay important medical information to the staff treating your animal and confer on treatment plans to best suit your pet’s needs. In some cases your pet may be able to be transferred back to our hospital for continued care; other times it is best if your pet remains hospitalized at the emergency facility.
Appointments are normally scheduled between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm with a break mid-day for surgery and lunch. We schedule surgeries and dental procedures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. If you would like to schedule a routine surgery such as a spay or neuter, please call our office – please keep in mind that our surgical schedule may be booked a few weeks out, so plan your appointment accordingly. We will do our best to find a day that works for you. Non-routine surgeries are scheduled as soon as possible after an examination is completed.
If you are a new client to our hospital, thank you for choosing our hospital. We look forward to meeting you and your pet. Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early to your first appointment to fill out paperwork.
