I have always had a love for animals. I joined 4-H when I was 8 (as a “mini member”) starting with one rabbit. Over the years that expanded into more projects such as raising and showing 2 breeds of rabbits, poultry, sheep, pigs and horses. I won a yearling Arabian colt in a 4-H essay contest when I was 13. I finished 4-H at 18 by winning Grand Champion Meat Pen rabbits at our local fair.
I later went to work at an animal hospital in Central Oregon. I loved taking care of the animals there, even adopting a couple, fostering a few and doing a little bit of wildlife rehab (mostly raising and releasing baby squirrels and raccoons). After 7 years there, I decided to become a pharmacy technician. My love for animals was still there, so I joined the Pet Evacuation Team so I could still help them.
My husband, son and I love to fish and camp with our 2 dogs. We also love spending time with family and friends.
We moved back to Creswell a few years ago to be near my family. My son was fortunate to be able to continue raising goats for his 4-H project after our move.
Recently I saw that Creswell Veterinary Hospital was looking for an assistant. I am so excited to be back in the field I love and can’t wait to meet and care for all your precious critters!
