Livestock and Poultry
Dr. Furrer is available to see appointments for cattle, goats, sheep and poultry. We do livestock appointments mostly as outcalls to your farms, but occasionally may be able to see your animals in-clinic if they are small enough. We are available for herd health exams, comprehensive exams, discussing husbandry and health, hoof care, disbudding those pesky wanna-be horns, reproductive health and assistance, and so much more. Please be patient when calling to schedule. Dr. Furrer is starting with only Tuesday mornings available for outcalls. We are also working on training – be prepared to meet assistants eager to learn handling, restraint, squeeze chute mechanics, and the appreciation for the sweet smell of rumen – all the nitty gritty’s of farm calls. We will require prepayment of the outcall mileage and the type of exam we are doing. We will then take payment for any additional charges at the end of the outcall.
